Getting Your Prayers Answered

Posted on February 13, 2012 in Ask Divine Mother

Question:   I'm trying to get clear on the use of this word prayer. I don't think that I pray, but on some days when I feel connected, I feel like I am in prayer throughout the whole day. Is that the wrong use of that word?

Divine Mother:   No, you are. Instead of praying, you are in prayer all day. Yes, that is a very good use of the word. Be in prayer all day. I like that. I am going to tell everyone to be in prayer all day. That is a more comfortable way to pray. If you are in prayer all day, I am with you all day, I am in you all day, I am guiding you all day, and fulfilling the desires all day.

To be in prayer all day, you have to be letting go to me all the time, always letting go, always referencing the Wholeness. That is the way to be in prayer all day -- always letting go, always referencing Wholeness. Thank you for your comment and thank you for your prayers.

Prayers are not always prayers. Prayers that are not honest are not prayers. What I mean by that is that prayers that are just said for show or to look like you are praying are not prayers. They are saying to the world, "Look at me. I want you to think a certain way about me." These are not prayers. I don't even pay attention to these.

I only pay attention to the prayers that are heartfelt, that are sincere. These are the prayers that I pay attention to. If a prayer is done for show, I ignore it. I let it go and the person gets what they are looking for. They are really asking for attention. I do give them attention, but I don't give attention to what they have asked for. I simply give them attention and love.

Around the world, there is a great misunderstanding about what prayer is. Because prayer has been used for attention or forced on people, it has gotten a bad reputation. Prayer comes from the heart. Prayer involves trust. Prayer involves love. Prayer allows truth, honesty. If a person doesn't want to participate in the truth, the prayer is no longer a prayer. Many times, people pray because they want something that dismantles truth, or they are looking for something that hides truth. Don't do this. True prayer opens up the heart to honesty.

So if there has been some dishonesty, it will be pointed out and the person can correct their course. But the prayer that doesn't want to look at the dishonesty and in fact keeps looking for me to hide the dishonesty, will lead to destruction. I do get prayers like this, request like this, and of course I cannot fulfill those dishonest prayers. But I can help the person move into truth, and that is what I will do in that kind of situation.

This is just for your information because this is a very subtle area that we are exploring.

Question:   Are you saying that you won't fulfill those prayers? Is there anything for that person that you will fulfill?

Divine Mother:   Yes, I will help them to move into truth, for that is the need.

If a person asks for something dishonest and it is fulfilled, it has not been fulfilled by me. It has been fulfilled by some other energy that is debasing truth. This energy may have accumulated a lot of power so they can, on a relative level, fulfill these dishonest prayers. So watch for this, and don't value anyone who does this, no matter how many times their dishonest requests are fulfilled. There is some negative energy operative and that is exactly what you are here to heal for this planet.

Question:   I have a question about articulating prayers. It seems like sometimes you could pray without having words, that it would be really happening more on the feeling level. You could articulate them if you wanted to, and sometimes this happens. Is it better to articulate them or is it better to stay on a more subtle level, or a more vague level?

Divine Mother:   Both are good. Wherever you are that day, move from there. Just be in the heart. It is about the heart. It is about the sincerity of the heart. So it can be from the subtle, what you might call vague, but I think you mean subtle, more in the Wholeness, or it can be very specific words. It is however you wish.

Question:   I have read that it is better to use positive words than to use negative words. For example, that it is not good to ask to be free from suffering, to phrase it in those negative terms. I think this is from the tradition of using affirmations. I have read that that does not work to use negative words, that it is better to use positive words.

Divine Mother:   Affirmations are different from prayers. Affirmations are creative statements. They are attempting to create a certain energy, a certain outcome. Prayers are intimate discussions with me, with the Divine. You can say anything with me, there are no rules. Just be intimate with me and talk to me. If you want to talk about your suffering, I want to hear it. Affirmations are different things. They are energies that you repeat to build something you want in your life.

Question:   What about the Transformational Prayers? Aren’t they statements?

Divine Mother:   These are alignments with me. They are prayers that acknowledge my existence and bring you into alignment with my existence by filling you with Divine qualities and clearing energies that are not Divine. Some of these prayers have what you could call affirmations or statements of truth within them like, "I accept Divine Love within me now." That is because you have just been filling your self with Divine Love, and often the system is not receiving. So you make the statement “I accept Divine Love within me now” to accept what you have been creating on the subtle levels. You could say that that is an affirmation in the midst of a prayer.

But I am talking primarily here today about prayer requests, how to get your prayers answered. Many people make requests, want something, and so they ask me. So I am telling you today how to get your answers to the things that you want.

I love you. Keep talking to me. Prayer is a conversation. Be in prayer all day. That doesn't mean you are talking to me all day, but you are referencing me all day. Trust me. I love you.
